"Hey David, unfortunately, in the state of Florida, agents and team members who are not licensed for claim handling open themselves up to being deposed or pulled into legal hearings when calling out on claims. I personally get involved when there are injuries and when problems arise with a claim, to which neither of those were reported in your case. I have many customers who can confirm I have stepped in when necessary. I ask questions and follow through, but I leave the heavy lifting for licensed claims handlers to ensure a smooth process for customers and claimants. As I shared in my email to you, we did not drop the ball with uploading your citizens document. It was uploaded on 6/27/2025 when you sent it to us. Citizens sent you a request without notifying us. You can call citizens directly to confirm the document was received. As far as taking days to respond, you sent me an email at 415pm on Tuesday, by 1045am on Wednesday you transferred your policies to a new agent’s office. I never received correspondence from you prior to that about any issues you were having with my office. The correspondence that has been shared with me by a team member who met you on a Saturday is that there were no changes to the life policy that was ever confirmed. You advised you would think about it and never confirmed you wanted to move forward with them. As an agent who has represented State Farm for 29 years, I work diligently for all of our customers. I also have a team who does the same. We unfortunately are not perfect, so there are things that slip through the cracks, but I have been unable to confirm that occurred in your case. I do apologize you feel we failed you on the claim handling side. Your expectation of contact for all claims is not part of my process for the reasons listed above. I wish you well and full success with your new agent’s office. Thank you for being a valued customer. "
